For some reason this song has really touched me today. I have been really moved by the gospel being preached in this very creative song. Besides the fact that Phil Wickham has a SICK voice (by sick I mean good) I love that Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection is being declared. I love the part where the simple, but powerful, phrase is sung… “Jesus is alive”
I hope you enjoy this live accoustic version and that in some way it causes you to think about, worship, and love on Jesus. My Jesus is alive!!

I love this! Have you heard the story behind the song? He wasn’t allowed to preach the gospel in schools, but he had permission to sing any song he wanted…so he wrote this song.

Its amazing how the gospel never gets old. It never fails to bring me to tears. It defies the logic of getting used to hearing the same story. The gospel always stirs… at least it should! This is a great jam!
